★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It’s a small village with Japanese architecture. Good place to take some photos. What made me interested, too, is that no one is guarding the rice shop. You can get/buy rice by yourself and just leave your payment in th box!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Used to be a major source of Chiness cypress in Eastern Taiwan. Almost all facilities are well maintained for all-around demo. A small and exquisite cabin is transformed as a cafe serving decent coffee/tea/snack. Very worthy of spending 2-3 hours to experience old-time forestry tradition in Taiwan.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The forestry area during the Japanese occupation era, with the Japanese style historical houses.
You can talk a walk here, go the the Japanese houses and the trails are nice.
The air here is without pollution, youyou may fresh up your lung here.
A nice place for coming along, or with family and friends, but it's far from the center, please make sure your transportation is checked, it's not easy to hire the taxi here.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place is popular with the history buffs. Lintienshan Forestry Culture Park is a former timber industry village established by the Japanese.
It was once Taiwan’s fourth-largest logging operation, with 2,000 residents at its height. Many buildings, built with native Chinese cypress, have been beautifully restored.
It also hosts a history centre, remnants of the extensive rail and cable system that ran into the hills, and displays featuring trains and machinery.
