Liugdui Hakka Cultural Park - Neipu Township

The hand made soap is an excellent choice either for personal use or as a gift! Sand pit for the youngsters and enough outdoor activity for the family.

This place is best for kids. I enjoyed seeing the kids playing in little swimming pool with white sand. The restaurant caterer were so friendly.

No admission fee but NTD 50 for parking. - May 2020 -

A great place to relax for the day. Lots to things for the whole family including walking in the stream, playing in the sandbox, feeding the fish and sampling all the vendors snacks and coffee. The children's education area upstairs was especially good!

As a Hakka native, it’s definitely a great experience to visit this cultural park. There are a lot of Hakka cultural features were exhibited. It’s free to get in and you can really get somewhat deeper & more knowledge about Hakka.

For the foreigners it is not very interesting at all. If you don't have enough time you can skip to visit it.

It is a nice place for a family to visit. Several plants are all blooming. The weather is good. The area is clean. Food are delicious. Either a senior or a child can find the enjoyment here.

Liutui means 6 mounds of earth. It is obvious that this Liutui Hakka Cultural park is devoted to the history of local Hakka people. The park is consisted of 9 constructions and a vast landscape, with ponds and some winding paths for walking and bike riding. After two hours strolling through most of the buildings, I found it is more for retail businesses, not much of a cultural type of museum or exhibition for demonstration the culture of an ethnic group of people. There are some pieces of events and things here and there about Hakka, but they didn't tell the stories of Hakka, there are none of their history at all. Is this a cultural park about local Hakka people? Well, I think it is definitely not a park about a particular culture. If this is just a park, then it is better than a regular a park. It has many buildings full of vendors that you may do some shoppings. It is a park suitable for a whole family to spend an afternoon. I saw many families propped up portable tents, strewed the lawn with stools and mattresses to sit and enjoyed conversations with friends and family members while their children were playing near by. One of the buildings has the theme of the Art of Coal on exhibition. I think it is a permanent one sponsored by a business. It is one worthy of visit. The guide is very well trained to explain display by display and conduct some experiments of its topic. So, in the end, we ended up buying some of their products.
