Liuqing Industrial Park

The sixth set of light oil cracking plant, commonly known as six light. It is an oil refinery located in Mailiao, Yunlin. It is located in the Yunlin Islands-based basic industrial zone in Mailiao. It is invested and developed and operated by Formosa Plastics Group. It is named after the sixth light oil cracking plant in Taiwan and the first private refinery in Taiwan. Liuqing officially started construction in July 1994 and began operations in 1998. In addition to the six light, Formosa Plastics Group also built several industrial facilities related to petrochemistry around the plant, collectively known as the "six light plan." The first phase of the project was completed in 1998 and started operations. Today, Formosa Plastics has invested NT$652.8 billion in the six-light industry. The completed area of ​​the first phase to the fourth phase totals 26.03 square kilometers, of which 22.55 square kilometers of land was reclaimed from the sea. The factory has its own dedicated port (Meliao Port), power plant, and steam-electricity symbiosis plant. These equipment are the first unofficially built records.
