★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It was renovated from an old building and won the local and international prize for interior design. I am happy to see the business can utilize the old property to a different use for people to hangout and enjoy, like restaurant. I chose this place to celebrate a good friend’s birthday during lunch time. The set lunch is not in big portion but delicate and refreshing. The service time is a bit slow but acceptable. The place is very nice and decorated with fresh flower. We enjoyed our time there.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Brought my mom on 1/5 for lunch. Arrived by noon. We were asked to sit in the area with hard benches. Very uncomfortable. We asked if we could sit at regular table, were told it’s all reserved. We asked if we could sit on high chair facing windows. Were told high chair was for younger people, not for us. As we inquired a certain spicy dish, the answer was, this dish is spicy, heavy and rich flavored, “not suitable” for us. The waiter was polite. However, he gave us a feeling that Elderly are not welcome here. Food soso, but expensive. Maybe dessert, afternoon tea is better, but I’m not interested coming here again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is an interesting old place used to be the 保安警隊, re-decorated into a restaurant. On the wall there will be regular posts introducing the concepts of the reorg. Sometimes they would make the wall photo or illustrate gallery. Like the front door so much cuz it is covered by a variety of green plants, making the dining experience kind of hidden in a small jungle
Offering plenty of Chinese style sets or main, some of the combinations are aggressive. Prefer noodles to rices, soy bean noodle is my favorite.
Drinks especially teas are wonderful, the 紅心晚香玉 woolong completely outshines the rest.
Card and electronic payments are acceptable. Do make reservation before your visit.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great tea and pies! You could tell that they really thought through the recipes. My chestnut pie was beautifully layered and the flavours worked. It wasn't overly sweet nor greasy. Although it was on the pricey side of the spectrum, it was well worth it considering the amount of efforts putting into making the desserts.
