化龍宮龍水港全臺開基太子爺廟,係興建於民國卅九年,於清康熙年間係著名的「龍水港渡頭」,為早年竹筏擺渡之渡口,此本宮冠以龍水港之由來。本宮供奉之主神為中壇元帥,又稱太子爺。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 明末鄭成功治台時期,李氏先祖從福建渡海來台,自打狗港循河溯流而上,至龍水港,搭寮居住,將隨身攜帶的神明:李府王爺、太子爺、神農大帝,馬伕、神馬供奉在中廳,現龍水港一帶的田地全為李氏先祖開墾,早期的太子爺公祠的位置約在現今廟址的東北方約100公尺處,現已不復存在。
光復前,日軍有二艘六人座的潛水艇躲藏在龍水港河域。當時這段河域尚未築堤,美軍轟炸機沿河轟炸,祖宅大廳部份被炸毀,神像李府王爺受損,太子爺神像由信徒輪流請回供奉,直到李家大廳重建完成,再將太子爺神像迎奉回李家大廳。1946年由家族長老李文壽發起建廟,族人李子貢捐田地50坪建廟,利用農閒自現今元亨寺山腳挖掘石塊(珊瑚礁石),以牛車載運,填築建廟的地基,建廟工程費時2-3年。約在1950年廟成,額「化龍宮」。1960年再由主持:曾林越妹(俗稱菜姑、師姑)募款增建主殿兩旁的偏殿、廂房。
早期三鳳中街尚未形成南北貨的市集前,三塊厝的居民挑著雜貨從排仔渡頭渡河到龍水港的渡頭前往左營地區販賣。遇天氣不穩定時,如風雨太大,竹筏難渡,乃至渡頭附近的李氏祠堂祈求太子爺的香灰隨身保佑,或夜宿李氏祠堂。後果真平安順利,三塊厝居民感念太子爺的庇佑,於康熙十二年(1673年)以分香(香灰)的方式建廟奉祀,自請師傅雕刻金身供奉,額「三鳳亭」(現今稱「三鳳宮」)。
三鳳宮年農曆九月七日上午9點前會回化龍宮謁祖,請化龍宮太子爺(二太子金身)前往三鳳宮看大戲;九月十日上午9點再將太子爺奉請回宮安座。
另外獅甲廣濟宮是由三個庄合建的,這三個庄分別奉祀池府王爺、保生大帝、中壇元帥,其中中壇元帥是乾隆二十五年(1760年)由化龍宮的分靈金身。後來,三個庄合建「廣濟宮」,合祀保生大帝、池府王爺、中壇元帥,是為獅甲廟。每年農曆九月八日獅甲廟的太子爺會坐大轎回祖廟化龍宮謁祖。

現今大廟於2010年初具規模,建築過程中更將是舊廟先行移出,待廟體完成之初,再行移回歸位,呈現大廟包小廟,新廟藏舊廟之趣,實則展現李氏家族及廟衆信徒「緬懷先祖、莫忘初衷」之情。

The statue of the goddess was welcomed back to the hall of Li's house. In 1946, the elder of the family, Li Wenshou, initiated the construction of the temple. The clan member Li Zigong donated 50 pings of land to build the temple. Using the slack farming to excavate stones (coral reefs) from the foot of the Yuanheng Temple today, they were transported by ox carts to fill the foundation of the temple and the construction of the temple. It takes 2-3 years. The temple was completed in about 1950, the "Hualong Palace". In 1960, it was hosted again by Zeng Linyuemei (commonly known as Cai Gu and Shi Gu) to raise funds to build additional side halls and wing rooms on both sides of the main hall.
In the early days, before Sanfeng Middle Street had formed a market for north-south goods, the residents of Sankuicuo carried groceries from Paizai Ferry to cross the river to Longshui Port to Zuoying area to sell. When the weather is unstable, such as too much wind and rain, the bamboo raft is difficult to cross, and even the Li's ancestral hall near the ferry head prays to the prince's incense ashes to bless him, or spends the night in the Li's ancestral hall. The results were really safe and smooth. The residents of Sankuocuo were grateful for the protection of the Crown Prince, and in the 12th year of Kangxi (1673), they built a temple to worship incense (incense ash), and invited their masters to carve a golden body for worship, the "Sanfeng Pavilion". (now known as "Sanfeng Palace").

In addition, Shijia Guangji Palace is jointly built by three villages. These three villages enshrine the prince of Chifu, Emperor Baosheng, and Marshal Zhongtan. Among them, Marshal Zhongtan was from Hualong Palace in the 25th year of Qianlong (1760). Divided golden body. Later, the three villages jointly built the "Guangji Palace" to worship the Great Emperor Baosheng, the Prince of Chifu, and the Marshal of Zhongtan. It was the Shijia Temple. Every year on the 8th day of the 9th lunar month, the prince of Shijia Temple will take a sedan chair back to the ancestral temple, Hualong Palace, to visit his ancestors.

Today, the big temple took shape in early 2010. During the construction process, the old temple will be moved out first, and when the temple body is completed, it will be moved back to its original position, showing that the big temple wraps the small temple, and the new temple hides the old temple.
