J	Jim Head on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I arrived in Taiwan and was hoping to brush up my conversational Mandarin. I found LTL nearby and checked out their website and decided to try 1-on-1 tutoring. They were great about setting up a tutoring plan to fit my schedule and assessing my Chinese level. The tutor they assigned was very experienced and professional yet friendly, explaining things clearly, taking time to practice conversation, and going through a course book.

Thankfully, LTL Mandarin School definitely delivers in accommodating to my schedule and language goals. They have several different types of classes and levels of flexibility. For my 1 on 1 class I am able to meet my teacher in a place closer to my residence than the school and it has been a big help in allowing me to learn Chinese. My teacher is friendly, helpful, and willing to push me when I need it. I definitely recommend choosing LTL Mandarin School!

Especially for their homestead housing arrangements, they charge double what the host family actually charges! Had it been 10 to 15% would've been fine, even 25% would have still been acceptable, but double, that's just not right, way too greedy, they were even on the local news for this!!! 0 stars if it was possible!!!

I do in person lessons at the school with Eden, focussing on things I want to learn, supported by the grammar Modern Chinese book. Outside class times the tutor is available to chat on LINE in pinyin, or voice notes, or answer questions. The package means I can change times and dates and pause lessons for a period of time. My Mandarin speakers are getting better, even being able to have a laugh. The tutor, Alex and Annie are very encouraging and quick to respond to questions. The tutors speak other local and foreign languages as well as Mandarin, it's very interesting. The school is in Da'an which is a nice area. LTL, and Taiwan and Taipei is a great place to learn Mandarin.

Since LTL specifically focuses on HSK preparation I naturally felt that LTL would be the perfect place for me to prepare for the exam. I have only had a few lessons with LTL, but I am already very satisfied with my teacher and the content we are covering in class. The 1-on-1 program is also very flexible and can be adjusted according to your own schedule, so I highly recommend the program if you are working or interested in travelling alongside your studies. The customer service at LTL has also been outstanding and I was able to arrange my class schedule very quickly.

My teacher Anne Chinese name: 沈艳 is supportive and kind and her lessons well structured and interesting. I cannot recommend her enough. The customer service at LTL has also been responsive and friendly, with Alex being a particular stand-out for his assistance to me in buying class hours and helping me choose the right package for me. I am very much looking forward to being able to attend the school next month when I finally arrive back in Shanghai.
