Lukang Fengshan Temple

The county historic site Lugang Fengshan Temple is located on Dexing Street, Lugang Town. It was built around CE 1822 during the Daoguang Period of the Qing Dynasty and has been around for more than 190 years. The hall has the width of a single bay, and the roof is of a single-eave hard mountain style. The Jiaozhi pottery works on the ridge and on the left and right sides are the masterpieces of the "Jinjiang master Cai Tengying" in Quanzhou during the Xianfeng period. It is currently the earliest work of Taiwan Jiaozhi pottery preserved. After several subsequent reconstructions to the current pattern, it is a concrete example of local development and related immigration history. Lugang Fengshan Temple is rich in historical and cultural asset value, so the county government designated it as a county historic site in 1989. Lugang Fengshan Temple was announced as a county monument on October 25, 1989. In 1997, the Cultural Affairs Bureau handled the main building restoration project, but on August 24, 105, the temple was burned down due to Zhu Rong, and the damage was serious. It was in order to preserve Changhua County. Important cultural assets, the county government tried their best to obtain subsidies approved by the Cultural Assets Bureau of the Ministry of Culture in 108. The total cost of restoration is estimated to be 25 million yuan. 75% of the total funding of the Ministry of Culture's subsidy program is about 18.75 million yuan. The owner Lukang The Fengshan Temple Management Committee has allocated 5% of the self-raised funds of about 1.25 million yuan, and the remaining 20% ​​of the 5 million yuan has been funded by the county government’s budget. The procurement and contracting procedures have been completed. The restoration project will be completed in 450 calendar days and will be implemented in early March.
