★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It’s a beautiful temple that’s dedicated to the sea goddess Mazu, it’s great to visit here and pray. However, pleas make sure to ask the staff about praying in order to do it in the right way since it’s a bit complicated. Great visit if you are in 鹿港!!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very nice quiet place but parking is limited. Can learn some history. Can be here for 10 mins to 30 minutes depending how detail you want to discover the meaning of the temple.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful Temple indeed. Unfortunately, because of the Corona (Wuhan) Virus pandemic visitors aren't allowed to enter.
Hopefully, Maybe next time when our Taiwan Government had totally control this epidemic.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Large temple in the center of the old street. The building and the archway in the front are a landmark downtown. It has been a religious center for pilgrimage and the worship place of the goddess for not only fishermen but also people from all walks of life. It is thus usually crowded.

Magnificent temple, inside and outside.
Beautiful buildings well preserved from 1920s, lively vendors and shops.
Would love to visit again.
The old street area (where you can find shops and food) mostly close around 20:00, recommend to go in the afternoon and enjoy dinner then walk around afterwards.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Most beautiful temple in Taiwan. The scale is perfect, the detail is magnificent, the color of wood and stone are amazing! Masterpiece. However, the florescent light kills a good design. Very unfortunate. Nonetheless, it’s a awesome temple still.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The temple is one of national historic sites. It the first Mazu temple, which built in the 16th century in Taiwan. This is my second time visit it. The Lunar New Year holiday was a terribly busy week here.
