Be sure to explore the entire area not just the old street as indicated by Google.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Not a bad attraction to see those old Qing Dynasty architecture. Alot of small shops selling their wares and food. The walkway are small therefore it gets crowded fast especially with motorcycles wheeling in and out of the small alley. Some shops sell exotic souvenirs which worth taking a look.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I really like to stroll on the old street. This time I came to Lugang Old Street, the houses were remained well which you can totally feel the past time and some culture.
However, to gain more money, there are some people selling modern stuff in the street, which made a conflict that you can see when strolling there.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Actually a really nice little Old Street to visit! It’s not as big as say Jiufen, but it also isn’t as tourist-y! There’s also very local stands around it and plenty of temples! If you’re looking for a real feel of Taiwanese culture I’d come here!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a beautiful place to visit, but I’d rather go for Hongkong or Shanghai. The city is too dead. Reminds me of Moscow, Idaho in the US. It must be a great place for the old folks who are getting ready to retire.
