★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Manapan offers an easy to intermediate day hike. An amazing panoramic view of Northern Taiwan's Holy Ridge awaits at the top. The maple forest, sea of clouds, and snow capped Holy Ridge makes repeat visits worth while. The trail is well maintained, and goes through a historic battle ground, where Altayal warriors stood their ground against the Japanese. There are 3 entrances into the trail system, and they are pretty far from one another. Make sure you return the way you came, otherwise you might need to hitch a ride back to where you started.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful mountain, easy hike. Should have been an amazing view but it was too humid out to see very far. You can't walk through plum farms depending on which path you take as well.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ There's a first-order triangulation station on the top and you can see the Holy Ridgeline if the weather is good. It's better to get on the top as early as possible since the weather would turn to be cloudy after noon time. The whole trail is almost original from the hiking gate with some wooden path. Also a very good place to enjoy the autumn colors especially the maple trees.
