★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 1898年9月台灣南部恆春的「恆春國語傳習所」特地於豬朥束（今滿州鄉里德）設置恆春國語傳習所豬朥束分教場，此為台灣第一所原住民小學。1905年，明令廢止原有存在的「蕃人」國語傳習所，改名為「蕃人公學校」。例如豬朥束國語傳習所改制的蚊蟀蕃人公學校，就是台灣第一所蕃人公學校。蚊蟀公學校就是今滿州國小，滿州國小校園還留存有一塊當時前人所立的「高砂族教育發祥地紀念碑」供人憑弔。
In September 1898, Hengchun Mandarin Language Institute in Hengchun, southern Taiwan, specially set up the Hengchun Mandarin Language School in the piglet bundle (now Manju Township). This is the first aboriginal primary school in Taiwan. In 1905, the original "Ban Ren" Mandarin Workshop was abolished and renamed "Ban Ren Gong School". For example, the Mosquito-Ban People's School, which was reorganized by the pig's shackles, was the first school in Taiwan. The Mosquito School is the Manchu Elementary School. The Manchuria Elementary School still has a "Gaosha Education Birthplace Monument" established by the predecessors at that time.
