Marco Polo Lounge

Very nice lounge bar with an amazing view over Taipei. Cocktails are really good but quit strong. Highly recommend it!

Firsly the positives, the view was amazing, the ambience was great, loved the setup and design. Unfortunately the drinks were only average, and even though there weren't many customers, it took a really long time for our order to be served. The waiters knowledge of drinks wasn't very good however she did make an put in effort which helps. For a 5 star hotel, the pricing is pretty reasonable.

very beautiful bar. affordable prices, delicious snacks and gorgeous vibes with the view of Taipei 101.. The staff also offered me complementary vodka shots??

Nice ambience with great view of Taipei (shame the air pollution was bad today) The food wasn't as good as I expected, above average.

After many years being my safe bet for special drinks, I'm sad to see that MP Lounge is nothing like it used to. We went for a few drinks on Christmas eve and the service was hideous. Were told to wait outside until a seat was found just to find out that the server completely forgot about us waiting. Then we were moved around different tables (4 times). Drinks were good but zero interaction on the waiter's side (we both speak Chinese too). When we tried to order second round, nobody bothered to bring menus, my friend went himself to get one at the bar. Finished drinks were never cleared and when we left at an almost empty bar, no-one even bothered to say bye. I counted around 5-6 people working there for a very small space. We were even served wrong drinks belonging to other patrons twice. Music was good but way too loud for a night when most people go for view and relaxing talk, the new MP Bar at Shangri-la looks more like a KTV bar than the cool, professional lounge bar it once was. I feel pretty much the view is the only thing that saved the night.

Great view as well as the ambience, but the dessert was far from good. The scones and cakes are too dry to eat, sadly.

Very professional bartenders and good atmosphere. Has a wide range of wine selections, has more reasonably priced wines to high end expensive wines and everything in between. Great view of Taipei 101. Great place to spend your evening

I don't like the drink here but wasabi peanut is ok. The view is ok but not so clear for photos because of the light in the lounge
