Meander Taipei Hostel 台北漫步旅店

This is my first time staying at a hostel. The atmosphere of this hostel is very warm and welcoming. You get to interact a lot with other travellers and the staff. Rooms are clean and comfortable. The staff members are very friendly and helpful, especially Nadia, who helped us a lot with restaurant recommendations and places to visit. It was a great experience and my friends and I had a very memorable trip in Taipei!

I’ve been traveling for two years and this is seriously the BEST HOSTEL I’ve ever stayed in!!! The staff are so friendly, welcoming and amazing especially Bonnie, Jack, Nadia, Claire, & Sunny. The hostel perfectly balances a social atmosphere with privacy (e.g. curtains on the spacious beds) and everything is incredibly clean! I was meant to stay for a week and extended my stay to almost a month! Can’t recommend this hostel enough I’ll definitely be back!!

This hostel definitely sets the bar with other hostels. It was clean, staff were friendly, knowledgable about the area and welcoming, there were a bunch of activities that we could partake in with a list of foods to eat and places to visit on the walls around the common area. There is also complimentary breakfast served. I stayed in a mixed dorm and there was enough room for my luggage and a small area where you can lock important belongings. The bed was comfy and clean and the shared bathroom quarters were well maintained. Overall, I'm very happy with my experience here and will more than likely stay here on my next visit to Taiwan.

I appreciated a lot the nice "acceuil" from the receptionist Julien. He was patient and helped me warmly to finalize my check-in at the midnight. The hostel is clean, comfortable and spacious. You'll have a multi-functional public area. You could enjoy a small nice talk, a leisure promenade around the Ximen space and some drinks happily before you go to sleep. Merci beaucoup !

A perfect place for staying in Taipei. I was in Meander in March and April. The most important and pretty thing there are people (the guests and the working team). I spend so pleasant time with them. You always can find a good company to hang out, have dinner or travel. I also liked the area: huge comfortable lobby with facilities like games, darts, electronic stuff, rooftop with fresh air and nice view. Everything is clean and neat. I definitely recommend it :) Hope to stay there more after my traveling in Taiwan.

I've been traveling for 2.5 years and never post written reviews. This hostel deserves one though as it was so good, maybe the best I've stayed at! The hostel has a super lounge area which makes meeting other guests easy. The rooms are quiet since the lounge area is in a different part of the building, so sleep is undisturbed. The facilities are particularly good and only good things could be said about the cleanliness. The girls on reception, particularly Claire, Bonnie and Nadia are so, so friendly, helpful, and give great free tours and recomendations. There is a simple free breakfast and free (tip based) hair cuts once a week. The hostel may cost a little more than others in Taipei, but with all the free activities and positive energy in the hostel, it is worth every penny! If I am ever back in Taipei, I will stay here again.

Had such a great time at this hostel. Staff are super friendly and will help out or even go on excursions with you. Rooms are clean and beds and comfy. Plugs and lights in your bed and your own private locker with a card key.

You need to book here, I had a lovely, social, and fun time during my three day stay at Meander Taipei Hostel! Karen, one of the staff, personally greeted me as I arrived late at night after a 14hr flight. She was very kind, polite, and helpful. After giving me the tour she answered my questions, gave me recommendations and we shared a few laughs. I recommend booking a four person room, each bed is around 6ft, 2inches in length, with a thick curtain that slides closed for privacy and darkness. I slept like a baby, with a comfy bed and soft, large pillow. The shower rooms are fantastic, lots of space, with multiple options, restrooms are great too. I highly recommend hanging out in the common areas at night, I met several people during my second day, by that night we had a group of six, we were drinking, eating, and traveling together. It's incredible how many friends I made here in just three days. I hope to come back one day, truly, a remarkable gem of a hostel. I send my thanks and appreciation to the staff here, you're all wonderful and it shows. 5/5, I'll be back soon : ) Love from a very happy San Franciscan!
