★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a wonderful restaurant in Shalu, Taichung, run by a family for over 30 years, serving fabulous lobster sashimi, exquisite Three Cup Penghu Grouper (best Three Cup anything, ever!), marvelous shrimp fried rice, yummy crab with roe, scrumptious giant baked cheesy prawn, totally delicious salted pork belly, fragrant lobster soup, and many other dishes. The owner is charming and knowledgeable, and this place is definitely worth a trip to Sand Deer.
