Came for the great reviews and tbh I don’t think it lived up to its hype. The host was friendly and explained each dish in details, but I found my bunny chow to be lacking in flavours. Perhaps, South African dishes are just not up my alley. The house made bread was the best part about the dish. Bruschettas had more flavours though I don’t like mine with olives. And the apple strudel was a tad cold in the center.

What a wonderful and pleasant surprise to see Michel not just running a Successful restaurant in a foreign country, but promoting health eating, and compassionate to animal. Her vegan dishes are innovative and yummy. The combination of east ingredients cooked in the western dishes. Cooking Italian and South African food using local fresh ingredients from Taipei. I believe she loves food, loves cooking, and most importantly, she loves Taipei and its people. Great job Michel, will definitely visit again when I’m back.

***enthusiastic reputation and chef but a tepid taste. Our entry to the restaurant were immediately greeted by the restaurant owner, Michele, an award winning South African chef known well locally for her vegan food expertise. Owner is staunch in using fresh, healthy ingredients, some of which are organic. Bunny chow - a traditional South African dish made with whole wheat n flax bread (shaped like a bowl), and housing curry in the middle. The bread’s texture was too rough and was a whole wheat Great Wall in disproportion to the curry inside. Curry was neither gooey nor the watery type. It tasted like a very mellow curry found in samosa. The original pasta - chili pepper, olives, diced tomatoes, oregano, and with an olive oil base. I always liked my pasta on the harder side but their version was way too hard. Tasted blend overall. Corn soup - my favorite as its literally all corn grounded and soup was pleasantly thick. Pudding pie - pie crust was too thick and stole all the spotlight of what otherwise would be a tasty pudding in the middle. Consistent issue with the texture of the food. Service was excellent. Venue’s interior red draperies and the very dark ambiance felt out of place with #healthy #vegan #South Africa menu. *****Reply*** Hi Michele, I’m not sure why google kept deleting and there’s no built-in direct reply feature. Herewith my acknowledgment. Best of luck to your business

All dishes are tasty, if not slightly on the salty side. Wide selection of Western and Asian dishes, often with a somewhst "fusionized" touch. The bruschetta for example were not overly authentic, but both the taste and the presentation I liked almost more than the original version in Italy ?. Staff is friendly, atmosphere is relaxed. Prices are on the higher side but you get really a LOT of food for it. Keep in mind that this is a fully vegan place, so dishes that usually make heavy use of dairy such as tiramisu taste a bit more "beany" than you might be used to. As many other Vegetarian/vegan places, this place closes rather early, so you'd better come early to enjoy your dishes without being in a rush.

Unexpectedly yummy vegan food! The alcohol free wine is very delicious too! Love the concept of serving environment and animal friendly meals. Will come back again.

We ordered 788 set, it was great. I like everything except dessert. The dessert was ordinary. There was a guy holding a dog hanging in the restaurant. Is the restaurant pet friendly? I would like to take my pet with me next time.

This place is one of the best non-meat restaurant option in Taiwan. They have things such as non-meat burger, pasta and even stew. Desserts are also very nice and the atmosphere is very cozy. They have themes for every table such according to the four seasons. We were seated at the autumn table. The menu has english and their set mean option is very worth it. Foreign and local credit cards are accepted.
