I like the feeling of reading books and newspapers in the Miaoli County Library. Find a foothold outside the library and relax. Very happy inside.

You can't check the books you just returned at the counter when you take them back to the counter, and you still insist that you need a library card to check them. Is your book system written by elementary school students? Or is it a primary school student who is watching the counter? If the reason is that I can't disclose what the borrower has borrowed, can I check with the library card? This kind of logic PE teacher taught you?

Help blood It is suitable for reading on weekdays, but depends on luck on holidays. Can you grab a spot? Books can be borrowed on the 1st, 2nd and 4th floors, and it is a library with a large collection of books.

The service attitude is really bad, and there is often a communication situation in the interlibrary reading. What's worse is that the volunteers are completely unfamiliar with the process of reading through, and they are often stubborn there. People who borrow books are people who cherish their time to read, and sometimes explaining this is really a waste of time... Shouldn’t you be passionate about the job and enrich your professional knowledge when you come to volunteer? On the contrary, it creates a burden on the borrower, and has to trouble the librarian all the time and cannot handle his administrative work. In this way, in this position, is it reducing or aggravating the librarian's work? When I lived in Shuangbei before, I had a cordial, fast and high-quality experience in borrowing books from the library. Now, every time you pick up a book is a moment of mood swings and frustration, It feels really bad. Anyway, for the educational environment of the next generation in Taiwan, let's work hard!

It was an awful library! Allow me to give you the specific details I've suffered there. The design for children's reading area is terrible. There are three separate sections, and each one is shoes-off required. How to let the kids take off their shoes in one section and then on immediately on the main section, so that they can go to the other side, and then off again? It baffles me. Then, there is a semi-second floor for kids, and the wooden floor is so badly designed that whoever steps on it causes loud and disturbing noise, not to mention children! Can anyone imagine that a squeaky and thumping floor is provided for children to read? Kids are meant to run a bit or step hard on the floor, aren't they? It's not kids' fault to be loud on the semi-second floor, yet the staff always YELLS to quiet the kids down. Yes, they YELL! Then they even make rude comments about the uncaring parents. Parents are not uncaring. The problem is the design! I mean, what the hell? The staff always, always chat loudly near the counter or anywhere in the library. How dare them to throw a tantrum? I don't see how they can be so ill trained. Ok, I'm now to review the so-called civil servants who work there, not the volunteers. The volunteers do a much better job than those official workers. One time I was in a hurry to return about sixty books at the counter. The "civil servant" behind the counter threw a glance at the books and then said to me, "Why did you borrow so many books? Don't you know you just put more work on my shoulders? You need to use the auto machine to return the books. I can't help you." First of all, she was just sitting there doing nothing when I got in the library. Second, the auto machine was lining up, apparently the civilians were used to the worker's notoriety. I pointed out the waiting line to her, and said nothing 'cause I knew a man might have a bad day and I gave her ill comments a break. So, she reluctantly picked up one or two books to scan, and still continued, "my wrist hurts so badly because of these returned books and it'll be hard work to put these books back on the shelves. You can just use the machine, don't you know?" This time, I said, still with patience, "why don't you pick up the speed if you have time to comment? It won't be hard work if you just do it." No, she heard nothing but went on viciously. After scanned twelve books, she threw down the books onto the counter, and walked away. Yes, she walked away, leaving me there agasted with unreturned books. She just walked away, and then talked to another nearby worker, pointing at my books and commented out loud so I could hear her, "See that one? How could that guy return so many books at one time? Doesn't he know we are loaded with work?" How to react to this ridiculous situation was really beyond me. I was so furious and when I looked around, other "civil servants" just looked at me and did nothing. Only one of them came and apologized to me, and helped to scan the rest of the books. I asked this worker, "isn't this a public library? Are you encouraging people to check out books or discouraging them?" Well, the worker apologized again on the former's behalf. Other "civil servants" remained calm and pretended nothing had happened. So, you'd ask why I didn't report her to her superior? I was in a hurry, as I said. I was furious and I didn't want my anger shadowed my judgement right there and then. Now every time I think of this single incident, I look down on those civil servants. They should be fired, for they ruin the reputation of our government.
