Millennium Hotel Taichung - Xitun District

Very amazing experiences. Love the ambience and interior design here. The breakfast includes a rich collection of foods. We also enjoyed the executive lounge, fitness center and sauna.

Room walls are surprisingly paper thin in places and therefore can hear lots of noise from your neighbours. The Room Service food quality is not great. Facilities are lacking. The Limousine Service is not flexible and way over priced for the car quality they provide. Hotel is aged and in need of refurbishment. Poor value for money. No smart TV Actually its outdated back to the 80s/90s

Hi, I checked out March 12 - it is July 2! Found the invitation email for this survey quite late. No problem, I stayed nearly 2 months at the hotel in Taichung! I can close my eyes and walk to entrance lobby...great hotel and prior visits stayed elsewhere, but colleagues highly recommended. They were correct! I really only have one feedback, even though am American - carpet is not good for hotel....really think best way is hard floor with area rugs. Hard floor surface is easier to keep clean and area rugs can be refreshed. Sadly the rug at Millennium in room was badly stained by prior guests and just takes a little of the wow out of the stay. Would also suggest an in-room microwave for reheating food could be helpful. I stayed during height of COVID and Foodpanda ordering being popular, a microwave to reheat would have been nice. Really enjoyed the benefit of 5th floor lounge for business guest. The staff all really did nice to learn my name and greet me often coming and going. Taichung is my new 2nd home and do miss you all terribly!! Xiě xie!

Great hotel for a weekend trip to Taichung. All the staff we interacted with were very friendly and helpful. There's free parking. Rooms were large and modern with good amenities. The breakfast was fantastic, but quite crowded. The executive lounge was fine but nothing special. The fitness center and pool area was quite small and crowded (I wouldn't stay at this hotel for the pool).

The stay took place on September 26th of 2021, it was a room that I booked through trip.com, and used my credits to offset the somewhat "expensive" rate at this hotel. The room rate was at around $150/evening, without breakfast, with taxes and fees. At this standard in Taichung, the Millennium would be considered as one of the more expensive hotels in Taichung, simply due to its location. However, as you know, Taichung is very well maintained, but it feels a lot more like West end highway in the evening than the Times Square. I took off around $74 dollars for this trip, so I basically paid a bit over $70 for the room. Maybe it was because the hotel knew I only paid $70 for it, so I was given probably, the WORST hotel room in the entire building. The hardware: lots of residences in Taichung look a lot newer than buildings in Taipei, therefore, for a hotel such as the Millennium, its lobby, seriously...it's quite weak. The lobby is considered very small and doesn't feel like $150/night, but definitely only $80/night. I would give it 7/10. The room: the room itself was quite small, feels like around 30 sqm or less. The view, is directly against the building next door, I would say maybe, no more than 25-30 feet away. The carpet is dirty. The bathroom is only alright. The bed is nice to sleep in (but then again, I think I basically can sleep anywhere globally, so this might not be quite accurate), there will be some strange noises (such as toilet flushing causing the pipe to break) from time to time. I would give it a 6/10. Service: as most of the places, except Hotel Cham Cham in Banciao, New Taipei City, the service is wonderful. All representatives I have met have been extremely kind and professional and helpful. Love it! I would give it a 10/10. Overall, quite disappointed at this hotel. Would not stay here again, at $150/night. You could find much nicer ones in Taichung, that's for sure.

great location, warm reception, high-class decor, perfect cleaness, comfortable bed, exceptional breakfast. The hotel is always worth one more stay.

Overall acceptable for the price. Rooms are decent. Housekeeping is great. Food is pretty bad all-around. Food in the lounge is pretty sad, room-service is bad and even the steakhouse on the top floor is disappointing. The service is OK. The staff members are always polite but I do find them quite cold. Gym and swimming pool are both on the small side and are showing age. The spa facilities are great. At the moment this hotel is still my preferred choice for Taichung but I do wish a new and better one would open soon.

Place is pretty new. All the items in the room are perfectly working and the real plus is the comfort of the bed. So nice! It's like you are sleeping on a cloud! Location is terrific, plenty of staff will welcome you once you arrive. Everything is clean and tidy in the common spaces. A place to consider and keep it as a safe choice if you travel to Taichung
