Ming Garden restaurant - Ambassador Hotel

An excellent place to stay. Also the food being served surpassed my expectation. Thumbs up!

This is one of my favorite restaurants , and they have all varieties of food for customers to choose.

Good food

Uninteresting food at marked-up price. Have expected better quality food given Ambassador's generally positive reputation for the restaurants it runs.

Great atomsphere. Not very crowded. Similar price but definitely more tasty than the Okura prestige Taipei.

An excellent all you can eat restaurant with variety of style choices of food, such as Japanese sashimi, Thaifood, beef steak with shrimp, prawn, crab, etc.. The most important reason I choose the restaurant for family dinner is the seafood provided there are always very fresh.

They give you good choices, in Taiwanese, Japanese and western cuisine. I loved their collection of tea. They also have many other hot and cold beverages. The food tastes really good.

31 March 2017, Friday Decided to try the afternoon tea. There's a long queue formed since 2:15pm. I asked the receptionist and was told I am not able to get a table. Was asked to leave my name, contact, and no. of diners so that they will call me if they have any table available. (It's just me alone). I waited outside the restaurant after everyone entered, and decided to wait for 25mins before asking them if they have any table available. But when I told them I left my details with them just before they open, they could not find it. (I'm disappointed that they lost my details) Food selection was okay, servers are efficient at clearing your tables, (my server thought I left and cleared all my things, the problem with eating alone) whereas the chiefs serving at the food stations are not so friendly. They have a ‘leave me alone’ aura. I didn't took any photos this as the atmosphere and seating arrangement inside was “not to my preference”. I can't really put a finger to it or explain exactly how it is, it just don't feels right.
