★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great wholesale market where harder to find items can be purchased. Herbs such as mint, parsley and thyme are available as are various salad greens (including radicchio and arugula, etc.) as well as unusual winter squash varieties. A huge variety of vegetables, leafy greens and more unusual (for southern Taiwan) fruit types are also available. Prices are about the same as other markets unless purchasing restaurant quantities. Most vendors are friendly and honest, but do compare prices at a couple stalls as a few sellers will raise the price slightly for unfamiliar faces. Parking is sometimes tricky during peak hours and police do tow illegally parked vehicles on occasion. The market is huge, but go early for the best selections.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A busy and bustling morning fruit and vegetable market. You will find all sorts of vendors selling many local and imported foods.
Make sure you have a good walkthrough before buying as many vendors sell similar produce but at drastically varying prices. That being said, if you love to cook then this is a paradise for finding new foods you have never seen in North America, also it doesn't hurt that they are at a fraction of the price you'd pay at a supermarket, even with the dread "foreigner exclusive prices".
As per the name, you'll want to arrive super early, 6:30-7:30am, to get the pick of the crop. Happy shopping!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I met here an amazing sellers, they treated me very well. I went here especially to buy fruit and I have to say I was bit disappointed... the choice was poor and instead of having most common taiwanese seasonal fruit the first section was full of expensive apples. Then the price of few papaya and pineapple were not really great as well. On the other hand the vegetable here was amazing, fresh, cheap and with a lot of varieties.
I didn't find here great fruit option, so I ended up buying coconuts instead (which I love as well).
The place is whole sale, so expect to buy more, this is a case especially for fruit.
