So I was walking in this neighborhood and was smelling cinnamon. I determined it was coming from Miss V Cafe. I am a sucker for a cinnamon roll so I stopped in for a roll and a latte. The cinnamon roll was one of the best I ever had. In the U.S. the rolls are full of butter and are so heavy, but Miss V's was perfect with the right amount of cinnamon and no heavy butter. It as a nice treat.

Served all day breakfast from 9 to 17. Reasonable price for brunch and sandwich! Would love to come back again. ?

The bread is fresh and delicious, only they have 90 minutes limits and push very direct.

Came for the bakery, stayed for the cooking classes! While on a stroll through the neighborhood around Fujin Street, my girlfriend and I stumbled across this cute bakery with a well designed sign that convinced us to check it out. Inside were some delicious looking pastries and some incredible smells. I'm Taiwanese-American but can't speak Chinese very well and my girlfriend can't speak any. One of the women working spoke very good English and told us a bit more about the bakery. We came to find out that aside from lunch food and baked goods, they also ran cooking classes. This was such a coincidence for us because we had been looking for cooking classes that supported both English (for my gf and me) and Mandarin (for my parents. It turns out the owner Virginia is Taiwanese but lived in Brooklyn for many years when she was a kid. Virginia was nice enough to rearrange her schedule to setup a class to teach us how to make 手抓餅 and a couple other dishes the very next day since we were leaving Taipei the next night. My parents joined us and we had a really really enjoyable 2 hour class that included light conversation and delicious snacking. On the way out, we grabbed a taro butter cake that was amazing. I would highly recommend this bakery for its food and their cooking classes!!

Although their cream cheese cinnamon roll is pretty nice, the staff’s service is far from friendly! The first time I’ve been there, the staff didn’t seem to welcome me. When they know i’m a foreigner, it’s getting worse.. No more conversation, not even thank you. Ok may be it’s a language barrier. Later i’ve been there again with my wife (Taiwanese). We’re just starting a conversation to ask whether they have still have the menu we’d like to order, the staff just cut the conversation and said they have everything.. So pity if the good bakery stay with a wrong attitude of service.

Hmmm hmmm hmmm. Quality food and quality ingredients made with love and caring thoughtfulness. Some restaurant claim to be healthy but serving grass fed beef and unsweetened dishes. But this is the real deal Holyfield. The quinoa salad has broccoli sprouts and chick peas aka garbanzo beans for those of you from North America. Now that’s attention to detail and nutrition. But if you are gluten inclined then this is heaven for you. Fresh baked goodness. Coffee is good too and so was the service friendly and accommodating
