Mountain & Sea House Restaurant

The foods are typical Taiwanese with some thought of healthy and organic. You may feel the chef is working hard to present the foods with some luxury dishes. As healthy idea inside, the taste of food becomes too light. The service is reasonably good as one Michelin Star restaurant. If you like healthy food, it’s a good restaurant you may go.

The food layout and restaurant environment are super.. I love their bowls and plates especially. As for the food taste wise, it doesn't suit my taste bud as I'm not from Taiwan. The Taiwan dishes are more suitable for their locals. The price are also super expensive! That is why minus 2 stars away for those 2 dislikes. If not, I could have given 5 stars!

Nice old school style Taiwanese cuisine. The food here is sophisticated and delicious. The restaurant itself with elegant dining environment and presentation creates a pleasant dining experience. We had a good evening here.

If you want lots of food, this is not the place. If you want quality, this place is perfect. But be prepared, one of the priciest meals in Taipei. They have many speciality items that you would need to order ahead. But they are very unique.

I guess the restaurant reduced number of servers due to COVID-19, which made us wait for a long time every time we wanted to order something or needed service. The food was good, eye-catchy and served in fair portion. Will recommend to foreigners who’d like to try authentic Taiwanese food. (Not really special for Taiwanese tho)

Amazing Michelin Taiwanese restaurant, all the ingredients and seafoods were from Taiwan. I think overall price is reasonable with 8-10 people testing menu, dining style is like traditional Taiwanese catering outdoor party, so don’t expect to get an individual dish in plate, you would have to spin the table most of time.

Overestimated. Can’t believe alleged high end restaurant would have no waiter in the entrance to guide you to the reservation table.

Quite disappointed with the food, the amenities, the setting. The second star goes to the delicacy in preparing the food but such delicate preparation does NOT add up to tasting at all. First of all the entire restaurant feels very noisy, just like a street side restaurant. I do like street side restaurants with local touch and low prices. If I choose an upscale restaurant I don't want such noise from next room to bother my dining. Second the dishes are just ordinary Taiwanese dishes, not worthy of the prices. It's not a ripoff. I can tell the kitchen has spent quite some effort to prepare each dish. However such effort in preparation doesn't enhance the tasting at all. Third the waiters/waitresses are not properly trained to serve wine or alcohol and they are understaffed to serve in each room. I can overheard the customers in next room were yelling for service. The limited space in our room makes the walking so inconvenient for customers and waiters. Not my kinda restaurant.
