★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Quaint coffee shop next door to Kavalan whiskey store front. Staff didn't speak English so knowing a little bit of Chinese helps. I tried the iced coffee with whiskey (Kavalan). It was basically an Irish coffee but Taiwanese style!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I'm not a big fan of Mr Brown's coffee and food in general, but this happens to be one of the best places in the area to do some work in the morning. It opens early, there's plenty of place to sit, there's free (though sluggish) WiFi and a few open outlets per floor, and the breakfast sets are a good deal. Around the afternoon it starts to get more crowded and noisy.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This cafe and restaurant is conveniently located along Roosevelt Road and is perfect for those who want to study or just stay to chat. They have 3-4 floors worth of chairs and tables and have plug outlets for you to charge your gadgets. They also serve meals for brunch, lunch and dinner so you can stay the whole day if you want to. They accept foreign credit cards and their menu has English.
