There's a water dispenser in the station, bring a smallish flask with you, make tea for the rest of your trip.
There's no 7-11 or Family Mart at the station. But there are plenty restaurants and small eateries around the area in a short walk.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I visit this MRT station almost daily, and am happy to do so. Architecturally, it certainly stands out. Service is good, although that can be said for most of the Taipei MRT network. Taxi drivers are to the left of the main exit. Be careful, they can be picky, and some (illegally) charge extra if you want to go into the mountains.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My childhood Onsen train station turned into a modernized MRT Station. Always filled with local and tourist passengers whether on weekdays it weekends. In its surrounding, there’re famous Beitou Park and a renowned library. Many onsen hotels are scattered everywhere! One of my best friends also lives by this station. Highly recommended touristic spot!
