★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you're looking for pho that is similar to the US, this is the only place in Taiwan that I have found after trying countless shops. The pho noodles here are thin and it comes with sriracha sauce.
Pho Hoa used to be around in Taipei itself, but has since closed.
After spending the last 4 months trying to find authentic pho in Taiwan, I almost gave up. A good 95% of pho shops in Taiwan use thick noodles to cater to the locals, which isn't authentic (even if they are run by Vietnamese). This place, however, is legit.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I personally consider a good pho broth as the essence of a tasty pho. Of course quality beef is very important as well. Boss told me that they can offer raw (uncooked) bean sprouts next time.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The authentic Vietnamese cuisine is truly delicious. The soup of the rice noodles is something that will keep you coming back several times. Their bread is crunchy outside but soft inside, which is perfect to go with their curry chicken sauce or the specially cured pork balls. The restaurant is the best dinning choice in the block and is open to everyone, not only the residents of its community.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Been here a couple times because food is pretty good and authentic but service has always been hit and miss. Lately, it seems to be getting worse, cleanliness is suffering—dirty tables aren’t being cleaned right away and flies can be seen in the restaurant. Servers are getting more and more careless; they keep forgetting what we ordered or our orders will come incomplete (missing sides/sauces, forget to provide utensils, etc.) and sometimes we get food we didn’t even ask for. It’s a shame because we have no complaints about the food, I hope proper training can be provided to improve service but they don’t charge service fee so maybe decent service is NOT to be expected...

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I love Vietnamese food. This place is okay. I have some doubt on the authenticity of the food. I tried the pho several times, and I don’t think the restaurant used the right kind of noodle and the right kind of broth...tasted a bit off. Tried other dishes such as grilled wings or the braised beef, I don’t think those are as authentic as I like it to be. Service is okay, mostly students working there part-time. Could have more training or be more communicative to the needs of the customers. Definitely lots of rooms for improvement.
