Nanfengtushiliuguance Station

Nanfeng Earth and Stone Flow Observatory is located in Songyuan Lane, Nanfeng Village, Renai Township. From the Inner Mountain Gas Station, about 70 kilometers from the Puwu Road in Taiwan, continue to the Qingjing direction and turn left at the traffic light. Enter Songyuan Lane and continue to go through the Meifeng Bridge. It can be reached in about 2 km. Nanfeng Village is located in the valley between Puwu Highway and Meixi River. The Nanshan River runs through it. Both the Meixi River Valley and the Nanshan River belong to the steep slopes of the mountains. The formation is extremely unstable and has the danger of falling rocks. Earth and rock disasters occurred during the typhoon Minduli, Typhoon Xinleke, and Typhoon Morakot. A large amount of mud and sand was washed down, causing the houses and bridges along the stream to be buried. The Bureau of Water Conservation has completely improved the remediation, including the clearing of the river bed and the expansion of Nanfeng Bridge. In order to warn the occurrence of earth-rock flow in advance, the Bureau of Water Conservation completed the completion of the Nanfeng Earth and Rock Flow Observatory in the 100 years of the Republic of China. Including early warning facilities such as rain gauges, projection lights, ground sound detectors, wire rope detectors, and water level gauges. After the completion of the observatory, the warning function is indeed implemented to minimize the disaster. The observatory is located on the way to the Dream Valley Waterfall. Visitors can stop and observe the facilities to enhance their knowledge of disaster prevention and mitigation.
