There is a big banyan tree behind the Ci De Temple in Caotun Township, Nantou County. According to legend, it has a history of more than 300 years and was enshrined as a tree god by local residents. This area is also known as "Rongshuling". The most famous feature of Cide Palace is the nineteen dragon pillars and the three unique features on the exterior of the building. One is that the temple looks like a horizontal gourd, also known as the "Calabash Temple", and the other is that there are four dragons in front of the temple entrance. The pillar-supported worshiping pavilion in the shape of a hat, the third is a 30-meter-high Tianzhu Tianzhu in front of the temple, and there is a solemn Guanshiyin Bodhisattva on the top of the tall pillar. There are 56 deities and Buddhas enshrined in the Ci De Palace, including Nam Wu Fu Tathagata Buddha, Nan Wu Fu Tathagata Buddha and Nan Wu Fu Living Buddha. The scale is quite large. At night, the longan on the nineteen dragon pillars emits lights, and the 38 points of light shine all around, becoming one of the famous landscapes in Caotun.

The first time I visited this temple was also through internet news. What was pleasantly surprised was the golden dragon ball in the temple and the tropical fish stone (taken by myself) by the pool at the back, because after the ginseng incense, I accidentally saw a piece of standing stone. Sideways like a tropical fish with an open mouth, facing the pool, it feels very special. The temple is located at the commanding height of Hushan Mountain. When the weather is clear, you can overlook the entire Nantou from a close up, and you can see Taichung from a distance. The view is very wide.

There is an open space in front of the temple for parking, and it is completely free. , so it is not recommended to come at night.
