每次到中興新村一定會來光榮國小外面這條綠色隧道騎腳踏車，充滿悠閒清新的feel。 還有一定要吃這裡道地的眷村美食~梅園餡餅粥、正典牛乳大王、老胡麵館、老夫子牛肉麵、 中興酸梅湯等等……
這裡另一個特色就是很多景點都有綠色大草皮，很適合帶小孩子放風箏、吹泡泡、踢球、玩飛盤、野餐等等……
