★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The multilayered, multicolored rocks are a sight to see! Lots of tourists, but it's definitely worth the visit. There's plaques describing how the rocks and cliffs are formed. Worth the 45 minute drive from Taipei if you're interested in nature.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nanya Rock is pretty cool. The formations and patterns are awesome and those interested in the formations could spend ages figuring out erosion patterns. There are steps to the lower formations and a pathway to a lookout for a higher viewpoint (there is a sign to watch out for venomous snakes). Best to not go on a weekend if you'd like some photos without people in them.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had a stop here as part of a half-day trip. It was quite nice to be able to head out over the cliff to get a nice view of the seaside. It was really nice how you could walk down the stairs to get to the rocks by the water. It was unfortunate that the rocks around the lower area were covered in trash. The rock formations were really nice to look at and the view was also fairly spectacular.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Stopped here as apart of a tour, Nice spot for some pictures. Becareful crossing the roads as it is high volume of heavy vehicles. i saw tourists walking along the road into a trucks path. not smart move

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Landmark of the northeast coast! The one called ice cream rock is especially eye catching! Be sure to take a look at other rock formations nearby! The coast line formed by these beautiful rocks and cliffs is really a gem of Taiwan! Don’t miss this place!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Unique and stunning ocean rock formations on the clear blue ocean. It’s definitely worth the stop when you’re driving along the coast. For more beautiful photos, I advise that you walk down and go to the bigger rock on the north side to get closer to the ocean plus get a good view of the mountain side.
