★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 南州車站原名溪州站，最早可回溯到日治時期，是為了運輸東港製糖株式會社的糖品而建立，為糖廠鐵道，且為最南端的糖廠。
戰後為地名辨識之緣故，陸續更名為南州站和南州糖廠，現今除了南州站仍扮演著交通運輸的角色外，遊客只要花五分鐘的路程，就能抵達保存下來的南州糖廠，參觀舊鐵道及糖廠遺址。
 Nanzhou Station, formerly known as Xizhou Station, dates back to the Japanese rule and was established to transport sugar from Donggang Sugar Co., Ltd. It is a sugar factory railway and the southernmost sugar factory.
After the war, for the sake of identification of place names, they have been renamed Nanzhou Station and Nanzhou Sugar Factory. Nowadays, in addition to Nanzhou Station, which still plays a role of transportation, tourists can reach the preserved Nanzhou in only five minutes. Sugar factory, visit the old railway and sugar factory ruins.

Don't underestimate the small station. There is a big sugar factory and a big park. It used to be famous for its restaurants, and there is also a big Tomb Po.
