★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The Center for Traditional Arts in Dongshan River Scenic Area has added several pieces of installation art, such as Misty Forest and Tunnel of Leaping Fish.
The place is an attraction suitable for the whole family to enjoy the cultural tour together.
All sorts of special stores, such as workshops and early Taiwanese variety stores, stand along the streets.
Here, you may see things that trigger the fun memories of your childhood, such as dough figurine sculptures, sugar onion, traditional toys, glove puppetry, etc.
Entry fee is $150, worth it!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place was recommended by my friend who frequently visits Yilan. I really liked how this place appreciates both modern and traditional art. Boat rides were offered and exotic traditional Taiwanese food were available. Quite a pleasant place to visit on a Saturday afternoon.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a very nice place to learn more about Taiwanese culture. The shop employees were very friendly and were eager to promote their products and the various artworks on display. It would have been better without the crowd though, so maybe come on a weekday or early on the weekend.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great place to visit, many shops to browse and lots of DIY. Quite big, many fields for kids to run around and play, have some ducks swimming on the river, also a river boat that you can ride on.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It is truly a place that you can spend an whole day their to see, to admire, to taste and to purchase!
There are also many theaters to have live shows preformed daily from traditional musical instruments to old time puppets show!
There are also couple museums with very knowledgeable volunteers to guide you and introducing the articles displayed.?The attitude and the detailed information provided by them which make the visit much enjoyable. I’m greatly appreciated!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Visited with some friends during Chinese New Year of 2022. The place was very beautiful. It was relatively big, it would take around 30-45 minutes to completely cover by walking. There were a lot of shops that cells various stuff, also some DIY shops that lets you make your own accessories or other crafts. A very good tourist destination.
