National Defense University Chung Cheng Institute of Technology

On May 8, 2000, the National Military University, Chung Cheng Institute of Technology, National Defense Management College, and National Defense Medical College were integrated to form the National Defense University. The headquarters of the school was located at No. 56 Zhongxing Road, Longtan Township, Taoyuan County. In July 2004, the National Defense University established the Strategic Research Center (National Defense Think Tank). On January 1, 2006, the National Defense Medical College, formerly affiliated to the National Defense University, was then separated into an independent college under the supervision of the Military Medical Bureau of the Ministry of National Defense; and the Strategic Research Center was abolished. On September 1st, following the "Northern Area Schools and Schools Reconciliation" case of the Ministry of National Defense, the Political Warfare School was incorporated into the National Defense University and renamed the Political Warfare College; Army Command and Staff College, Naval Command and Staff College, Air Force Command and Staff College, Polytechnic Institute, Management College. On January 1, 2013, the National Defense Language Center of the Ministry of National Defense, formerly affiliated to the General Staff Headquarters, was reorganized into the National Defense University in coordination with the reorganization of the elite case of the National Army, and was renamed as "National Defense University Language Center."
