i like it very much very clean environment

Some of the reviewers state that the school is a temple, I must agree with them it is a temple of Higher Learning. The school is beautiful, it has excellent instructors and has an excellent reputation for being a maritime School within Asia. Formally known as National Kaohsiung Maritime University, these two campuses Nanzih and CiJin are now part of the National Kaohsiung University of Science and Technology. They offers excellent programs in all subject matter areas of shipping, transportation and management including training a Merchant Marine officers. I am currently a PhD student in the shipping, transportation and management Department of this University. I have been asked why would I as an American go to the school in Taiwan and not the United States? First, shipping and transportation is a global industry and too often we look at it from one perspective our own. Second, this University has an excellent reputation within the maritime community. Thus, if I want to learn more about a global industry I must step outside of the box and look at it from others perspective. So why am I here- to be educated and learn from the some of best academicians in the industry from the Asian perspective. I am not saying that there are not other excellent maritime universities in Asia. I have taught at several of the best Maritime universities in Asia. What I am saying is I chose this one because it is an excellent " Temple of Higher Learning".

The campus has the most beautiful architecture. Such a good place to take selfies.

The campus has world-class facilities and is considered top 1% university in the world. My best friend Asa Huen is studying here as well! Looking forward to visiting him there after travel restrictions are lifted!
