★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Friendly place for kids! Foreigners friendly also, they offer audio in English to guide foreigners. Group and individual visitors are available! You can also find yummy ice cream in front of the museum entrance, enjoy the ice cream after visiting the museum and then walking around at the park until sunset. Awesome!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This was an amazing walk through time. I appreciate that they didn't try to sugar coat the uglier parts of history but didn't get too graphic either. Having English translations on most of the permanent exhibits was great too.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This museum displays the culture and history of Taiwan and presents a quite different atmosphere from the Palace Museum.
The building is novel and the interior is comfortable.
The museum faithfully presents the living atmosphere of Taiwan from the 17th to the 20th century with 1:1 model and many interactive installations in the museum. BTW, the the train theatre is amazing!!
It is worth spending three hours here, while avoiding the summer heat.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It’s a really good place to explore our country. How she becomes today’s Taiwan and what she has experienced from the past to the present. With some interesting displays and interactive devices, we can learn Taiwan’s history in detail. Highly recommend to people who want to understand more about Taiwan. ❤️

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place is incredible. The outdoor solar Gathering array is a stunning architectural feature with a uniform welded lattice structure that you can walk through. The incredibly large koi ponds and concrete features are amazing.
In truth this museum is worthy of more than a single day. I recommend getting the audio tour as the English explanations are complete and engaging. This is one of those places where you can be surprised at how truly excellent it is. It should exceed even the highest expectation.
It is a terrific place for children with plenty of area to run around and ride bicycles. The outside marshlands are efest doomed with a broad array of Taiwanese Birds and egrets.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful park around the museum. You can easily spend a few hours outside just picnicking and enjoying the environment. When I went there the museum was closed for renovations. There was a small exhibition on Japanese textbooks. It was quite well curated in the sense that the scope was very well defined and the content of the show supported the premise of the theme. It was straightforward and informative. I look forward to visiting again when they open again in 2021.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Entry fee is NT$100. Lots of introduction about Taiwan’s history. It is also a good place to have a picnic with friends or friends outside the museum.
