I would give this zero if I could. Not a museum at all; nothing about Taiwan’s history. Literally a few boards about camphor and opium production nothing else, 2-5 mins max. Better museums elsewhere in Taipei!

Museum detailing the Taipei Nanmen Factory and the manufacture of opium and refining of camphor. 20 NTD for adults and free after 16:30. It's very small, half an hour is more than sufficient.

There is sometimes a weekend market for second hand furniture and goods.

The exhibitions will change in a period time. I like the intro of how oil and perfume are made.

Beautifully restored colonial era building houses a veritable camphor diaspora. All you ever wanted to know and more. Well worth the NT$20 admission fee.

Nice little museum. Downstairs is dedicated to the opium and camphor production that used to occupy the site. Upstairs is temporary exhibition space - currently (January 2022) about food, waste, and the environment. Both exhibitions are very well done and very interesting. Miniscule entrance fee - NT$20!

The three buildings here, the remnants of a huge industrial facility that once processed camphor and opium, stand out for their unique architecture. They are remarkably well-preserved, thanks to efforts to convert historically significant buildings into a space for the arts. The museum is housed on the red brick building by the entrance and showcases the lucrative camphor and opium business. The museum also has a dedicated art space for children, but all exhibits are in Chinese only. The admission fee is 20 NT (less than 1.00 USD). Allot at least an hour when visiting.

An OK small museum with scientific drawings and its history when I visited for a school trip. It’s worth seeing the remarkable artistic abilities of humankind as we learn about our environment and nature. Only NT20 admittance and there is also a restaurant inside (seems like nice environment with American style foods and cafe). The “little White House” is well maintained and can be used for lecture and teaching time. It’s more interesting if you sign up for the tour. Maybe spend one-hour at most.
