Currently the exterior is under renovation. Check their website for updated opening dates. With 8 floor and basement, this place is huge. However, the ticketing system is complicated. The exhibitions are "separate" from the museum and some special exhibitions have package that includes the museum general admission fee, some don't. And each exhibition have their own ticketing counter. I.e if you want to see two exhibition, you will need to buy tickets from two different counters. Good thing is, you can just visit the special exhibition without visiting the general exhibits and as such you don't have to buy the general admission ticket to visit the special exhibition. Tickets are expensive and they only take cash. We went to the "upside down" special exhibition. In summary it consists of two parts- a huge jumping castle and an area with lots of drums for you to hit. Not sure how they are related but kids up to 10 had lots of fun, not for the adults though. There are some school excursions children on weekdays and weekend is very busy. Try to visit early as afternoon tends to be more busy

It’s a real cool place no matter for kids or adults. I’m here for natures connect exhibitions. However. It is now abit empty and dusty as renovation is going on. But it is quite a good place to spend a whole day for visit.

There is interesting and educational science displays for an affordable price. The special exhibitions are also unique. This museum is near to the bus stop and also not far from the MRT. There are restaurants in the museum too. The only suggestion I have is that to open the museum longer so we can enjoy looking at the displays. Overall, I think this is a good place for educational experience for kids and adults. Thank you for the educative science displays!

Okay, to be fair, we visited this place during construction work, so it probably wasn't as fun as it would've been in its full glory... The entrance fee for the basic exhibition was 100TWD for a grown-up and 70TWD for a student. The rest of the activities cost extra. However, for two adults, no kids, just the four floors of partially closed exhibition provided fun for over three hours. And, based on what witnessed, all the kids running around were having a blast, too! The place is really good for kids and parents of all ages, plenty of colorful buttons to hit while roaming the place, but also detailed explanations for the curious ones of how things work. Take your kids here, play with the stuff and have a nice, and surprisingly educational day!

Having read the reviews, I was a bit apprehensive about coming here, but those fears were unfounded. You are greeted with a majestic atrium as you enter the building and there are three levels of permanent exhibits, as well as additional areas which requires additional tickets to enter like the 3D ride, children's playground. You can easily spend 3 to 4 hours here if you want to look at everything. There is also a food court and a Moss Burger within the building.

This is a very well place for kids spending a whole day. The entrance fee is extremely low, it only cost 100 Taiwan dollar for adult and 70 for kids. You can visit from 3F to 6F. You can pay extra fee for spec Lam exhibition at 7F. There are many restaurants sites at the B1 floor. The museum closed at 6pm and you can play from 9am to 6pm.

Just barely had a chance to pass through. Kind of mixed feelings. On the one hand, a gorgeous building inside, with at the time, some really interesting and modern exhibits. But it also seemed a bit empty — maybe they were between some exhibits? It also was kind of part science shopping mall? (No complaints there, I just didn't expect so much retail space to what were kind of dinky science-ish shops. I would judge it based on the exhibits themselves.

Take bus R30 from Mrt Shilin station to National Taiwan Science Education Center, opens 9:00-17:00, the museum has 6 floors, some areas are open permanently and other are for special exhibition only, there is an activity center where you can create things (limited time only). Sky walk and unicyle ride tickets sold separately. Entrance fee is 100NT. This is good for Families, kids, young adults and kid at heart who enjoys Science and curious about things. By far the best Science museum I’ve been to!
