The best medical center in Taiwan. It's usually lots of people in here. If you seek but not dying and you have to do a surgery , usually you have to wait a long time. Maybe two weeks or more .

This hospital looks vintage from the outside, which is nice, but the inside smells really bad. The restrooms are often unclean or smells of bad urine stank. The doctors if you can call them doctors at all. Are un compassionate and have terrible people skills. It's not advanced or up to code hospital. I hate coming to here and I hate the nurses too. They are mean and ugly.

It's a maze and not much instructions in English so you don't know where to start. Go to Referral room to get yourself registered and pointed to where you need to go to. Just follow their simple instructions and you'll get things done. Doctor and nurses who attended to me speak english, took less than an hour to get vaccinated.

It is almost the last hospital you could go for if you have encountered a difficult or complicated health issue. Located at center of historic Taipei administration office area (城中區), this hospital building is century-old architecture but still functioning well as a modern hospital. Here is very crowded so it’s recommend that you have a reservation before coming here to see a doctor.

Impossible to make an appointment online if you don’t speak mandarin, phone is most of the time busy ..came to hospital, got the appointment number but when reached the clinic had to wait ... after an hour I finally decided to ask nurse about my turn, she told me i need to wait more because my number has already passed before my arrival ??‍♀️ eventually waited almost 3 hours to see doctor, 5 minutes of useless conversation, again waiting for the bill. Intern nurse came out barely speaking English with the paper all written in Chinese ..I gave up asking for anyone else to explain, paid and just left. Don’t think this place worth your time and money - while even with national insurance you have to pay 520nt for 5 minute conversation. Better go to a smaller hospital.

This hospital is a 2nd tier hospital in Taiwan. It provides most services, but budget restraints and/or poor management mean it is not as clean and well-staffed as it should be. In addition, there are often long wait times for even the most basic of services. English is understood by most of the doctors, but staff speak very little English. Recommend this hospital for routine things if you want to save a little money, but important matters be taken care of at private hospitals. This place is a bit of a bureaucratic nightmare. For a simple vaccination the process goes something like this: 1. Registration (or register in advance, but still follow the rest of the steps) Get number Stand in line Wait Get registration paper Get assigned clinic Go find Clinic 2. Clinic Wait three hours See doctor for 2 minutes. Doctor gives you prescription for vaccine Go back to registration (this time called cashier) 3. Cashier Get number Stand in line Wait Pay for vaccination Go find pharmacy 4. Pharmacy Stand in line Wait Pick up vaccine Go find vaccination room 5. Vaccination room Stand outside Wait Receive vaccine Finished entire process. Repeat next week for follow up vaccination

A LOT of people. Sometimes no seat available while waiting to be called. Navigation can be complicated. The volunteers were super helpful. They are everywhere so just grab them and show them your appointment paper. They will point you the way.

Trying to make PCR test in the middle of the pandemic seems way to challenging for Taipei main hospital. The hospital is closed in weekend. That should actually be illegal. There is no emergency service provided and they advise you to... go away. Even simple information (when speaking Chinese properly and politely) can't be get in any manners from them. On Monday tried to do PCR again. They asked me to go to the other hospital on the other side of the steeet, and this hospital asked me to go to the other hospital on the other side of the street... Throwing the responsibility on other and playing ping pong with me could be funny in sunny day when there is no emergency but that's not always funny. Finally provided me an appointment for the day after my departure.... Very useful ! By the way, 150€ for a simple PCR ?
