★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful place. It’s one of those places you can’t miss if you’re visiting Taipei. The open space, gardens and architecture of the building is amazing. It is great to visit, take pictures, hang out and walk around the garden areas as well. Highly recommend it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Relatively small and old building for live performances, but still a beautiful architecture where people take lots of photos when visiting Taipei. I watched a ballet by about 50 Russian dancers. No photography allowed during shows.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great theater with good seating. There adequate leg room, which is big deal for tall guys like me. The surrounding area has plenty of coffee and good to snack on during intermission. If you're headed there for a show, I recommend Hangzhou soup dumplings 杭州小龍湯包 nearby beforehand. You won't regret it!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Free for all foreigners. You can register with your passport and have a look. However, you are not allowed to take pictures within the auditorium. You can walk around but there are nothing much to see unless there is a play/musical.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very nice photo opportunities. There are numerous groups practicing dance movements because of the glasses that act like mirrors on the building. Interesting place to visit and people watch. Not a lot seating area. There is a huge open area in the middle.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Went to watch a Cloud Gate performance today. It was our first time at National Theater, and we were pleasantly impressed with the venue. Entering the theater was quick and easy. The seatings were spacious and plenty of leg room, even for someone taller. We don't understand the small wall between the 2nd and 3rd row, but overall it was a good experience.
