★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fun place to walk around and enjoy various cultural arts and products and foods. Lots of free tasting which is fun. Also an organic vegetables shop at one of the old buildings and a pond where kids can feed fish and ducks (or mosquitoes can sometimes feed on people). Many stalls on weekends which could take up a good hour or two for those who like to look through things out of curiosity. Very enjoyable and worth the trip (forgot to take photos; will take some more for next time).

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A traditional Hakka building~
This area had been protected by government. You can come here to see Hakka building and culture. Also, you can go to the book store and you can read the book leisurely. If you are lucky, you can see the cajon show.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It’s a beautiful place worth spend half day enjoy slow life with.
Building itself is a old style historical architecture, there are illustrations of what is was long time ago. There is a weekend market for you to get traditional food, even to try the DIY. Also, there is a pond of beautiful lotus behind the building.
A coffee shop also serves you hand made drink. Enjoy it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Actually, it should not be named "district". It's just a small area with some ancient hakka houses. A little bit disappoint. Any how, it still be cherished as a natural and cultural heritage area. Suitable for a weekend walk in a vibrant city of Hsinchu.
