★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is one of those places where winning an award has completely ruined the experience for customers because they don't really care about personal experience anymore. I went on a weekday when there was no queue at all. Despite the fact that there were no other customers, the rules state that there is no trying of ice cream, no combining certain flavours, complicated rules about pricing and worst of all - cash only! Surely if you can spend huge amounts of money on a lovely building, with fountains and streams, you can install a credit card machine? This is 2018 for goodness sake. So I recommend this place only of you feel like having an experience similar to Communist Russia in the 1980s (which I have actually been to).

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a 15min walk from the Sio House but the walk can be quite dreadful under the hot sun. Would suggest to cycle/drive/take bus number 2 instead. It's admittedly a beautiful space that's slightly reminiscent of Ando's architecture (just look at those concrete walls with holes, and the light reflected on the ceiling). I also love the beautiful photos by Simon Chang displayed on level 2.
Their signature honey black tea with rice puffs is pricey (130 ntd) but really fragrant. Wish it was less sweet though.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Stopped here on the way to the beach and glad I did! I had the pistachio and sea salt flavor and texture, taste and portion was spot on. The place itself is quite nice but it was full and hard to find a place to sit inside. I'd totally make a detour from the city again just to have the ice cream here and try their other flavors!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 糟糕的服務。Terrible service. Some ice cream flavors are great, some just ok. Beautiful building. Looks like there is a gallery of sorts upstairs. The girl at the register was terribly rude (even though I spoke to her in Chinese), even though she apparently spoke English (only to tell me no cards, cash only). Her coworker who served the ice cream (taller than her) was MUCH nicer.
