A little bit further is the Wenqing Bookstore, the Immigration Department, the Citizens ’Guild Hall, and the Three Small Markets.

The building adopts a modernist form. Xingqi Memorial Hall, Children's Seed Park (Douliu Seed Park) and Yunlin County Reporter's House are all on the same road and can be visited together.
妙	妙妙 on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 最近能"遇見"記者之家，其實隱藏著大雀幸！因為一年前(2018年11月12日)，附近的舊平房發生火災，這座具歷史意義的建築也遭受波及，所幸安好！這座建築是民國五十年發起籌建，民國五十六年四月一日開始興建，同年九月十日落成，外觀是以鋼琴為意象的建築。這就當年而言，頗為先進，而且具有獨特性。因此，若論歷史，雖非百年古蹟，卻富含歷史價值，並已被登錄為歷史建築了！這建築所具的歷史意義，除了潛藏當年記者相關事蹟之外，還有新竹玻璃有限公司所發明的「儷光石」，首次實際運用，即是在此「記者之家」。 Recently I was able to "meet" the reporter's house, but I was hiding the big bird! The exterior is a piano-like building. This is quite advanced and unique in the past. Therefore, if history is not a hundred years old, it is rich in historical value and has been registered as a historical building! The historical significance of this building, in addition to the hidden stories of the reporters in the past, as well as the "Shuguang Stone" invented by Hsinchu Glass Co., Ltd., the first practical use is the "House of Journalists".

T	Tina Pickford (Ting Ting 婷婷) on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This house was built in the 1950s for the former Yunlin County news reporter. In 2018 it was named a historical landmark and the government apparently plan to fix up some of the dangerous structural damage that has occurred. You can't go in and it actually appears to have people living in there...but you can snap pictures from the outside and it's right next to the community centre which had markets and entertainment on the day I went.
