My 2 friends and I rented 2 bikes from Hua Ge for 1 day, and upon returning the bike, we were told that we "crashed" one of the bikes as there were new scratches on the "inner part" (left side of the foremost piece of plastic) of the bike, and we would be charged 1500twd for the damage. On top of that, sending the bike to the shop would be another 500twd. A total of 2000twd. Not only were we never informed of how much these potential damages would cost, but we also insisted that there was no way could've caused the damage, let alone "crashed" the bike, because both the driver and the passenger on that particular bike were left completely unharmed. We also argued that they could not have charged us with these amounts that were not presented to us when we had signed the rental agreement paper. The boss challenged us to go to the police station 5min away (by foot) to get the police involved, and we told the boss that he would have to go with us in order for the police to hear the full story. And guess what? He told us that if he was to go with us he would charge us another 500twd. These people are completely ridiculous and they know business is weak, so they are trying really hard to scam as much money out of tourists before they go out of business. AVOID AT ALL COSTS Black shop: Hua Ge rents a car Don't rent a car or an electric car, because they are liars and a black shop. To trick passengers into renting a car with them at a relatively cheap price, and then collect the so-called damage compensation fee when returning the car. In fact, you paid several times the price. The three of us rented two trams for a whole day without accident. When we returned the car, Hua Ge said that we had crashed one of the cars. There was a slight paint damage on the left side of the car, and we had to pay NT$2000. The strange thing is that when we rented the electric car, we were never informed of the damage price list.
