★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 住院復健已一週，感受到復健病患雖然很多，但在物理治療師和職能治療師團隊細心專業的指導下，大家都很有秩序的做復健。雖然樂生不是大教學醫院，但在施院長，莊副院長及復健科殷主任領導計畫下，不但購置很多新的醫療及復健器材，也把醫護友善專業口碑慢慢傳出。（從附近美髮大姐敘述最近因住院跌傷住院經驗。）

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This new hospital was built to house the leprosy patients which is right behind it. About fifteen years ago the government wanted to remove the patients to clear space for the subway. Some patients did not want to leave as they have lived here for their whole life - in the past leprosy patients are confined in sanatorium once they contracted the disease. The students and academics came to help them and the struggle is still on-going. The leprosy sanatorium is now declared historical building but its fate is still uncertain. Do come to visit the sanatorium behind the hospital to learn why the patients don’t want to leave their home.
