蝴蝶小鎮生態休閒園區-木生昆蟲博物館

We ended up visiting here twice within a week because we enjoyed it so much! This is a Taiwan treasure that allows you to get up close with a variety of insects. The staff here is super friendly and helpful. One young man who gave us a personal tour on both occasions speaks excellent English and was very knowledgeable about the insects and their origins. We got to handle almost every insect and even got to hold a live tarantula! There are some talking macaws, turtles, bunnies (you can buy food for 30nt in the cafe), a guinea pig, and a cool butterfly pavilion with hundreds of butterflies and caterpillars. This is a family owned attraction that was started by the grandfather decades ago. There is a nice museum upstairs with a tribute to the grandfather and thousands of immaculately mounted butterflies and other insects. Admission was only 120 NT and money well spent - entertaining and highly educational experience. They have a nice gift shop and a cafe that serves a variety of fresh teas, coffee, and food items including a chicken rice curry dish. You should put this on your "must visit" list if you are ever anywhere near Puli!

Great place to learn about insect. You also can let them crawl on your hand and take picture with them. They also provide playground area for small children. The only minus is the ticket for above 100cm is 100nt. Too expensive for small children

Lots of butterflies, alive and specimen. Good place to visit with kids, very educational.

Awesome place. Great for children, but I think I enjoyed it just as much or more. The lady who runs it is awesome. Even let us hold some of the live, rare bugs. Will definitely be going here again.

It's a really wonderful place to go with your family, kids. You would be able to not only see real life animals but also you will able to touch some of them. There is also a nice cafe, where can order affordable meal...have fun!

Great place, staff very friendly, fun place to take your kid to,and extremely enjoyable for big kid like me. Live insect that you can be up closed, with butterfly garden outside. Second floor have large collection of butterfly, beetle collection. From the smallest to the largest in its category. Great experience.

This is a fun, educational place that has a butterfly garden where you can see different flutterbys living together.it has live stick insects and beetles as well! The upstairs has a magnificent collection of insects. The place also sales great insect pieces. All the information is in Chinese, but it is worth the trip.

Fascinating and very friendly museum. Thoroughly enjoyed my time here
