The Best Way to spend all day in Sun-Link-Sea. It’s winter here. In the mountains, it gets cloudy after noon and gets dark very early. The sunset time is around 5 pm. It’s better start early and see top sights first. Start at the Red House→Cunlin Trail→Flower Center→★Golden Yellow Metasequoia→Yueshan Trail→Tiyen Trail→★Ancient Red Cypress→★Tien-ti Yen→Tianyen Trial→★Songlong Rock waterfall→Tale the Resort Shuttle Bus to Service Center→ShyrjingJi trail→★Shyrjing Ji→★Chinglong 2nd Waterfall→★Chinglong Waterfall→Chinglong Fern Trail All of trails were amazing, especially we saw the fog covered Chinglong Waterfall in 2 mins in the end. That was quite dramatical.

We came for maple tree season and still have some flowers here to check out. The trail is comfortable and many people here. Easy to park but if you are in rush hour (10-12) then you might hit traffic for sure! Bring jacket because it will get chill in the afternoon and in the woods!

You need to take a public bus to go up to this high mountain hiking area. There bus ride is around 20 to 30 minutes. Along the bus ride, you should be able to view very nice scenery. When you read the park, you need to take another bus to the highest peak, around 15 minutes ride. When you reached the peak, you can walk down to the base slowly enjoying the weather and beautiful scenery. The walk can be around 45 minutes to more than an hour. I will rate this hiking area as one of the best in Taiwan. Definitely a must visit place for adventurous travelers.

Beautiful drive out here ! From Taichung main station it took me and my friends maybe 2 hours on scooter to get there! The mountains are gorgeous - but cold this time of year bring gloves and a jacket! The actual park you can’t drive up on your own, you have to walk or take the bus for $40 one way. The big waterfall cave is very cool and you can get pretty close to it! Lovely place, wish I could have explored t more.

One of the place where you can enjoy the mountains, nature, and fresh air. It will be great if you can stay over night so you can cover most of the scenic areas. Driving a car is the best, otherwise you can take a bus from Taichung. We faced difficulty to find the bus station, therefore I have added some pictures of the bus station in Taichung. You can search in Google nantou bus station in Taichung.

This park is under sunlink sea resort which requires an entrance fee (we paid 250 each + 100 parking fee in total of 600NT) group tour (7head above), students and seniors/pwd has discount. This resort has a lot of parks and parking lot inside, u can ride their ebus that range from 20-80NT depends on the place u want to go im not sure since we choose to walk on visiting different parks there, just follow the bus route to avoid going back on the same place, we just use ebus going back to the Red House (40NTeach) If you plan to visit here and feel the vibes of autumn season you can visit here starting last week of October not sure until when (We visit Nov.19,2020) but u can search on google which month is the best. The pictures posted is from random places inside. U must try fruit ice cream in flower center.

Beautiful and peaceful place, at least it was in off season. Parking was good, there is a shuttle bus that takes you close to the walks if you do not feel like walking all the way. There is food available, as well as clean toilets. The scenery is really nice, the climbs using steps are not too difficult and should be suitable for children. Especially coming from the city, I enjoyed this visit. I also think it would be nice to cool down during the summer. When I went during February warm clothing is advisable. Recomended!

I think it has been over ten years since the last time I visited, things changes a lot, it is just like a total new tourist attraction to me, barely do I remember anything about this place from my last visit, or maybe is because it changes a lot since my last visit. If I have to mention something about this place, I would say the waterfalls and the flowers, according the the map, there are three waterfalls here, I’ve went to the farthest one, almost 5 kilometers single trip walk from the parking lot while it says around 3.5 kilometers on the map, there must be something wrong with the numbers printed on the map and the signs. In the middle of the walk, there’s a flora exhibition center, thousands of flowers are planted inside, various of colors, and it is the place where I have my lunch, in my opinion, the lunch sold at the flora exhibition center is the best in this place. And for the waterfall, it is the dry spell the day I went in January, so it is not that stunning as printed on the brochure, but still, this place is worth visiting since there’s still some water running and the flowers blossoms in winter.
