★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Historic architecture and probably has the most books in any other library in Taiwan. I love strolling through the aisles between the shelves and pick up random books to flip through.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The staff was not knowledgeable or friendly. I had pictures of the books I needed from the library website with the location information. When I asked where it was the guy responded that he didn't know. He also insisted that my purse was a bag and couldn't be brought in. It was a clear lack of desire to be helpful and annoying bad manners.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great library, but the staff in charge of selecting who can and can’t walk in should have a clear policy. My girlfriend wasn’t allowed to enter with a copy of someone’s unpublished thesis because it was a in a binder and therefore qualified as a book so it couldn’t be carried into the library. We talked to three different members of the staff and the higher ranked one said that priority should be given to NTU students so people from other universities should go to their own libraries to work on their thesis there.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Yes the check in process is kinda lengthy - you have to leave the purse in the locker downstairs, then fill in information with pictured ID. But I like the serene feeling inside. Remind me of the college time. Can stay here, read books for a whole day if you have some free time.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ As university libraries go, the library at the center of the NTU campus is average and unremarkable.
The library clock tower is a visual reference from around campus and the Gongguan area and southern edge of Da’an.
The best part of the library are the grounds in the rear, that are a (sometimes) quiet park for the nearby residents.
