Oma's Deli Deli -German Bakery

Decent brunch spot in the cityhall neighbourhood that serves organic dishes with many varieties of bread. Excellent service. It's always full during lunch time even on weekend. Best to book it ahead of time. Hopefully it stays open til my next visit back to Taipei.

I was rather impressed by the quality of the German artisan bread offered by their bakery shop, and was really expecting a decent brunch at their cafe. The menu suggests all the appealing dishes, and we went for the safe choices, which are their signature vegetarian omelette and the Good Morning brunch dishes. The omelette was firstly served, while the brunch was served almost 15 minutes later when there were merely three tables, and we were the first who placed an order. It turned out that the cook decided to serve all omelettes together. It was a pity that the carrot cubes were rather raw and definitely under cooked. While waiting impatiently and hungrily, the Good Morning brunch was finally served. However, the chicken thigh was also undercooked, and blood could still be seen. It was cut to half to be shared, and was on different plates when we were asked to put the two halves back to a dish so that it can be sent back to the kitchen to get reheated. The staff was rather friendly and apologetic, but there was no compensation on this mistake. I would expect a new piece of fully cooked chicken thigh to be served while the undercooked yet cut piece to be disposed for hygiene purposes indeed. For the prices they charge for a meal, the standard of the food really isn't a match at all.

Tastes nice but bread is too firm, grilled vege is little bit too oily and chicken breast is slightly too chewy. Probably it’s overcooked. Only the seasoning is nice.

The protein brunch set is fairly delicious and the staffs are friendly. We made a last minute reservation and got seated by the window on stools. The ambience is cozy and the food portions satisfying. The protein bread is definitely good in both the nutrition and the taste. Other breads are mediocre though.

The food here was super clean, refreshing and healthy. I’m always so happy to find restaurants in Taipei that have super nutrient rich platters of food. The menu had a lot of options, including a high-protein menu and low-carb menu. The portions are large and reflected price points well. Average meal which includes coffee or tea was around 380NT. They have a nice bakery area with a good selection of breads and other baked goods as well. I would definitely come back here again.

Very nice setting and also very friendly atmosphere to either have brunch with friends, get a business lunch, or just study. Super extensive menu, protein friendly plates, low carb options available. A bunch of desserts and smoothies as well. The bakery section is definitely worth visiting. Chef's kiss. Would definitely revisit!

Second time at this deli, and both times were with my uncle. He really likes this place, and we can see why. The deli isn't big, which is good during a pandemic. The atmosphere is warm and friendly. The food is healthy and well balanced. The portions are decent, which is a good thing since we often over consume as a society. The pastries they offer come in a variety of options from sweet to healthy. We don't live in Taipei, but if we lived closer, we'd come by more often to eat and pick up bread.
