★ ★ ★ ★ ★ You do get a huge piece of cake for a very low price. The texture of the cake is a dream, but there is very little flavor. I’m glad I stopped here as it was on my to-do list, but it is a bit disappointing.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Shock of my life. I wanted 1 piece of cake at TW$80. The seller took out a box & gave me a HUGE piece of size 20cm by 30cm & he replied this is one piece. Really value for money & very tasty & fluffy.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The most delicious cake ever. Light and fluffy, but also very moist. Not too sweet, and very eggy - you could get away with eating it for breakfast. A huge chunk big enough to feed 3 or 4 people is just NT$90. There’s always a lineup at the place across the street, and this one is just as good. I’m not a fan of the cheese flavor - the original flavor is perfect exactly as it is!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Came on a Tuesday morning so not a single person in line, and timing was good as they were just cutting a Warm Cheese Castella hot out of the oven~~ one piece box 100ntd, suuuuper yummy!! Really big portion, good to share with many people. Texture and flavor is absolutely best when hot and fresh, with the cake texture melt-in-your-mouth soft and fluffy, simple flavored and lightly sweet, and gooey slightly salty cheese oozing out~~ love that combination of salty and sweet ♡ Cake still good when cooled down a few hours later but first few minutes was the best!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If a fluffy cloud and a cake had a baby, it would be this castella cake. The texture of the cake is simply soft and pillowy.
When we visited, it just happened to be a fresh from the oven tray. It was quite fun watching them cut the cake. Half the cake is original flavor and the other half contained cheese.
It's great the cake wasn't overly sweet. A must try while in Tamsui.
