★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you're looking for a easy hike in Jiaoxi, this is the place. It takes about 1 hr to reach the other end, where there's a guy selling nice tea eggs and homemade stuff.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a perfect hike for all ages - not too hard, stunning views and fairly safe.
As far as I know, there are 3 entrances/exits that you could choose from. There's the south entrance not too far away from "Tangweigou Park" (next to a sausage vendor). Another one is located along the highway past Jiaoxi transfer station (you'll see a small brown sign in Chinese characters signalling the start of the trail), and the last one is the North entrance along Beiyi highway. It is situated at the border of Taipei and Yilan county.
I started my journey following the sign along the highway next to the tranfer station. Keep in mind that this path is not really well-maintained at all. However, it doesn't take much time until you reach the official start of the trail which is very well-maintained.
Extra tip: There is an awesome viewing platform at the boundary park of the north entrance. On a good day you can see Turtle island and Lanyang Plain. Hope I could help you, enjoy :)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a very nice hiking trial, it's not like the regular hiking trial with stairs in Taiwan, it's a place to go before the hot spring, beautiful view of city and trees :)
