Pier No. 1

Only went there for drinks. Cocktail is good, not just dead sweet like many bars in Taiwan. Price is slightly high in Kaohsiung standard, but acceptable. View is nice as well. A good place for date or hanging out with friends.

I think it is Kaohsiung's No.1 Hot Place.??? You can see all Kaohsiung city below enjoying live jazz club(?)- there are two people who are singing songs. Romantic and active place where you can enjoy a gentle breeze.

Rooftop bars are my thing and this one had views for days. It's an absolutely stunning overview of Kaohsiung. The city of Kaohsiung is like no other. It is so beautiful at night and this place is the best place to be when the sun goes down. It has a vibrant and laid back feel to it. There were opportunities for games in one corner. Later everyone played bingo in their tables. It was all in Chinese but thankfully some members in our group spoke the language. There were about 3/4 chances to win something. off course our table didn't win anything but it was fun nonetheless. The drinks were really nice but weak. I got a mojito and it just tasted of juice but they were nice enough to top it up with more rum when I asked. It was stronger after that. The staff here are really nice and attentive. I liked the vibe. Only downside was that it was a bit too cold haha but as long as you wrap up it's manageable. I'm sure it crazy hot in the summer. I must come back to find out.

PIER 1s cocktails are really well crafted for a hotel bar. All very balanced, not too sweet, quality spirits, quality ingredients, larger than average sizes for Taiwan. Look great for pictures. Very well done. I suggest the red bean century or monkey punch. Taiwan Cocktail reviews IG: derrickm3

(With English menu) the view is pretty good. The atmosphere in here are very cozy. On the website said you have to wear smart casual but i think it’s ok if you are not too sloppy. The drinks are pretty good, but food is just ok. In general is a good place to relax with friends and have a drink. I think I will come again if I’m around this area.

The view is fantastic and very exotic atmosphere. We enjoyed a chill time there. It’s just the drinks really…? Lack of flavor complexity, it tastes flat, watery and boring! The recipes r NOT correct OR just the bar tender.

Great roof top bar with some nice vibes and views of KaoHsiung city. Luckily, there was a nice cool breeze and no rain (barely any cloud cover so could also see some stars). Drinks were great and tasty, definitely coming back again next time.
