★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A historical place that was used by the Japanese kamikaze military during war. It is just a small place with few buildings and harbor view. You need a ticket to enter this site including the coupon to buy food in restaurant or merchandise.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ At a small cost of NT$50 per person, you can enter into the garden/backyard of the historical mansion (of course the building itself as well) to take a quick tour and lots of beautiful photo.
Additionally, you will be helping the maintenance and preservation of these gorgeous pine trees!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ For me, it is an uneventful place unless you are a history buffs. A important Japanese building that play a part of Hualien history. Entry is NT Dollars 60 per adult. Garden itself isn't big. A panoramic view of Pacific Ocean & Pine trees. Not entirely value for my money. Visit is at your discretion.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ historical Japanese Colonial building with the Hualien Harbor view. Now this building they used for Exhibition and homemade workshop, for some peoples they used for prewedding photoshoot.
When we got there we can’t find parking lot.
A small cafe in there.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Cozy place and have a beautiful view from the top to the city and the sea below. The lady at the ticket counter (pay 60 dollar for 1 person foreigner, for local person I think it's free) is so nice. After finish looking at the garden, we're having difficulties to get a taxi. The lady at the ticket counter help us by calling the taxi without we asking her. Thank you so much for the hospitality. Really appreciate your help.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It’s a very Japanese style historic garden with houses plus a lot of pine around the premise. It’s very nice to sit and enjoy the surroundings and fresh air (except the mosquito type bug). I learned more about Kamikaze because the Garden was used to treat Kamikaze members because some Japanese family members came over here to memorize them.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing place for taking pictures. If you are in Hualien, you must go to this place. It just takes about 20 minutes to look around. Great scenery. The artifacts shop is a must visit. Watch out for musquito.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A historical site on the high ground overlooking the ocean, well-known for very old buildings and beautiful, giant pine trees from Japanese Occupation. There is an outdoor cafe if you don’t mind the mosquitoes, and souvenir shops to kill some time. Basically not a must in Hualien, but still a good place if you have some spare time since it’s in a walking distance from town.
